What we don’t check

Admitting the engine’s limits is what makes its passes believable. Our compatibility engine checks the electrical fit between components — cold-weather string voltage, system-voltage match, wire and fuse sizing, battery limits, comms, and completeness. It does not check:

  • Roof structural load — whether your roof can carry the array.
  • Local permitting — rules are set by your county or city (your AHJ).
  • NEC 705.12 busbar limits — the “120% rule” for backfeeding your main panel.
  • Utility interconnection rules — required everywhere for grid-tied systems.

The green check means “complete and electrically compatible,” nothing more. For anything fastened to a building or tied to the grid, confirm permits with your local building department and have the final connection inspected.
